Rendering & Compositing
These renders are the end result of the Rendering & Compositing class I followed in May 2013.
The assignment was to take a photograph of a real-life scene and composite CG objects onto it to make it look as it belongs in the photo.
In this scene the plate, knife, paper and glass of beer are CG while the wooden tabletop and the background are from the original photograph.
Below are the original photographs that were used as a 'backplate' for the two scenes.

I then measured the objects (plate, knife, paper and glass of beer) and modelled them in Autodesk Maya.
The Maya scene was then setup to match the perspective of the original photograph and the objects were rendered on a transparant background.
Finally everything was combined and composited in Autodesk Composite.
